The date for the FIRST Black Hereford Sale for the great state of Texas has been
set and preparations for this event have started.
It will be advertised as: THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE. Click here for flyer
At the TBHA meeting in Waco, the initial plans were discussed, explained and
approved by the members of the Texas breeders in attendance.
Bobby Lide (Cell: (254) 625-3800 Ranch: (254) 739-5311) has taken on the task of
Sale Manager and will be the contact point for members participating in the
auction.
The DEADLINE for entries has come and gone!!! Entries and photos are on the
way to be put everything together to create THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE catalog.

Total commitments by the breeders was for 104 head of stock that will include:
30 YEARLING HEIFERS - 26 COWS - (OVER 15 MONTHS OLD)
27 YEARLING BULLS - 21 BULLS - (OVER 15 MONTHS OLD)
There will also be a 'Futurity' heifer show before the main sale with 10 head
committed. "FUTURITY HEIFERS" will be a special edition listed in the catalog
and the FUTURITY HEIFER SALE will be last.
TOTAL LOTS TO BE SOLD WILL BE 114.
Stock offerings will include homozygous black bulls and some red hided cattle
breed to a homozygous black hereford bull. Exhibit animals from the consignees
are welcome. There will be at least one and maybe 2 heifers exhibited along with
some herd bulls.
Meetings with the Auctioneer, holding pen boss, DV auction, video and clerking
personnel were accomplished at the Diamond W Arena. Everyone is more than
satisfied with our decision to have the sale at this arena.
DV Auction will be broadcasting real-time.
