The date for the FIRST Black Hereford Sale for the great state of Texas has been
set and preparations for this event have started. It will be advertised as:
THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE.
At the TBHA meeting in Waco, the initial plans were discussed, explained and
approved by the members of the Texas breeders in attendance. Bobby Lide(The
Triple L Ranch-Cell: (254) 625-3800 Ranch: (254) 739-5311) has taken on the task of
Sale Manager and will be the contact point for the members participating in the
auction.
There were commitments by the breeder to have a total of 114 head of stock that
will include bulls, cows, pairs and possibly some 3 for 1 offerings at sale time.
All entries, fees, registration papers, pictures and videos, MUST be submitted to
Bobby Lide on or before December 5th, 2011. This deadline is for The Black
Hereford Sale catalog.
Stock offerings will include 48 bulls, several bred heifers, cow and calf pairs and
some red hided cattle breed to a homozygous black hereford bull with the
guarantee of a black hereford calf.
There will also be a Futurity heifer show after the main sale with 10 head
committed as of this date.
